1 a) “Contest Period” starts at 7:45am on Friday, May 18, 2012 and continues until 7:15am on Friday, May 25, 2012, the “Contest Closing Date”.  To enter, you must be a member of the CHFI Loyalty Club, or sign up for the CHFI Loyalty Club for free prior to the Contest Closing Date via chfi.com.  Then visit the enter to win section and use your Loyalty Club points and redeem 500 Points a ballot for The CHFI Trip A Day Giveaway.

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. To enter this Contest without redeeming 500 Points, during the Contest Period, please hand print your name, address, day and evening phone numbers, email address, age, Contest name for which you are entering for a chance to win, and a hand written 100 word letter explaining why you would like to win the prize as outlined below and send it to 98.1 CHFI at 777 Jarvis St.  Toronto, ON M4Y 3B7, Attention: The CHFI Trip A Day Giveaway. Random Draws will be made by a Rogers representative on May 22, 23, 24, 25, 2012, each a “Draw Date” from all eligible entries received as of 7:15am each day, after the 7:30am news, and Erin and Mike will announce the name drawn. Each entrant drawn will be deemed as a “Qualifier”.  Non selected entries will be carried forward.

Each Grand Prize consists of:

• Winners and Guests are responsible for all departures taxes (approx. $346.30 per person, subject to change), in-flight meals, beverages and entertainment, gratuities, merchandise, telephone calls, in-room charges, meals and beverages outside of the all-inclusive package, optional excursions, insurance, travel documentation, personal expenses of any kind or nature, overnight layover (if applicable), transportation between winners and guests Canadian residence and departure airport, and any other expenses not specifically described as included in the Grand Prize.

• Grand Prize must be accepted as awarded and cannot be transferred, re-assigned, substituted or redeemed for cash.  Prize may not be used towards accumulation of Aeroplan Miles or any other reward programs.  Should winners and/or guests be unable to travel at the designated dates and times, GRAND PRIZE will be considered forfeit and awarded to an alternate WINNER.

Prize winners are responsible for all non refundable departure taxes (approximately $346 per person subject to change), connector flights, gratuities, merchandise, telephone calls, insurance together with any required travel documentation, all personal expenses of any kind or nature, together with any applicable overnight layover. It is the prize winner’s responsibility for all cost incurred to and from the departure point as the prize originates and terminates there. It is also the prize winner’s responsibility to obtain all necessary travel documentation including passports and visas if applicable and to comply with any customs immigration requirements. Failing to provide the required documents may result in denied boarding by Air Transat and/or entry by immigration authorities. 3.  All prizes must be accepted as awarded. Grand prize may only be accepted by the person who qualified by entering to win via chfi.com, except at the sole discretion of Rogers, TripCentral.ca, Nolitours, Transat Holidays (from this point referred to as the “Contest Sponsors”) reserve the right to substitute a prize of at least equal or greater value in the event of the unavailability, for whatever reason, of the advertised prize.  The time and place of the Grand Prize is subject to change without notice at the discretion of Rogers and Contest sponsors.

4.  In order to win, the selected Qualifiers must first correctly answer, unaided, a time limited, mathematical skill testing question, posed by telephone at a mutually convenient time.  Rogers judges’ rulings are final and without appeal in all matters related to the Contest and the awarding of prizes.

5.  The selected Qualifiers will be required to return a signed release and acknowledgment form before being declared a winner. The traveling companions must also return a signed release and acknowledgment before being ticketed and once ticketed no changes are permitted.

6.  By entering this Contest, each Qualifier consents to the use of his/her entry, name, and city of residence and/or photograph in any publicity carried out by Rogers, the Contest Sponsors and/or its advertising agencies, without further compensation.  Winners, their guests consent to their photograph being taken by Rogers and Contest sponsors for such use, without further compensation.  All entries become the property of Rogers.

7. This Contest is open to all members of the CHFI Loyalty Club 18 years of age or older, except employees of the Contest Sponsors, their affiliate companies, representatives and agents, the Contest suppliers and those with whom they are domiciled.  The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations.

8.  No correspondence will be entered into except with the selected entrants.

9.  Chances of becoming a Qualifier depend on the number of eligible entries received.  The Contest Sponsors are unaware of how many entrants there may be.  The winners may come from any geographic area, so long as they otherwise qualify to enter the Contest.

10.  All entries become property of Rogers who assumes no responsibility for lost, stolen, delayed, damaged or misdirected entries or for failure of any telephone or radio equipment during the promotional period, for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, broadcasting and communications hardware or software, failure of any email or traffic congestion on the internet or at any website, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s property related to or resulting from playing or downloading or accessing any material in the Contest.  Rogers reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend all or any portion of this Contest should a virus, bug or other cause beyond the reasonable control of Rogers corrupt the security or proper administration of the Contest. Rogers is not responsible for any errors or omissions in printing, advertising or broadcasting any aspect of the Contest. 12.  This Contest will be run in accordance with these rules, subject to amendment and cancellation by Rogers without notice.  Entrants must comply with these rules, and will be deemed to have received and understood the rules if they participate in the Contest.

13.  The terms of this Contest, as set out in these rules, are not subject to amendment or counter-offer, except as set out herein.

14.  By entering this Contest, the entrant confirms that he/she has read and understood and accepted these Contest rules and regulations, and voluntarily assumes all risks in connection with the Contest, the prize and their use.  Entrants understand that the Contest and/or the Grand Prize may involve some danger, exposing the entrant and/or his/her family to any risks and hazards of both man-made and natural origin, whether arising from foreseeable and/or unforeseeable human error and negligence and that, as a result, the entrant and/or his/her family may suffer serious personal injury, illness or even death as well as damage to or loss of property. Participant nevertheless freely and voluntarily agrees and does hereby assume any and all risks of personal injury, illness, death, or damage to or loss of property suffered or incurred by the entrant, his/her family, heirs, administrators, personal representatives or executors arising out of or connected with entrant participating in the Contest and waives any and all claims the participant and winner may have arising in connection with this Contest and the prize.  And further agrees that he/she will sign a standard form releasing the Contest Sponsors their agents and/or suppliers of service, and their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, directors, officers, employees, agents and their respective advertising and promotional agencies, from any and all liability arising in connection with this Contest or the Prize, including without limitation, any financial, legal or moral responsibility or loss or personal injury including death or damage to or loss of  property suffered or incurred or arising from the acceptance of the Prize(s) as awarded and confirming compliance with Contest rules, whether suffered by the Participant, winner, or his/her heirs, administrators, personal representatives or executors and notwithstanding that such injuries or losses may have been caused solely or partly by any act, omission or negligence of the Contest Sponsors their agents and/or suppliers of service, and their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, directors, officers, employees, agents and their respective advertising and promotional agencies.  Entrants further agree to pay all costs of any emergency evacuation of the entrant and/or his/her property that may become necessary for any reason whatsoever.
